What are the ingredients?
Sugar, olive oil & eucalyptus essential oil. Sounds yummy, right? It’s a sugar treat for your feet! The sugar will gently exfoliate your skin and the olive oil will moisturize it. The eucalyptus can help relax sore feet and its antiseptic properties help treat cuts and soothe irritated skin.
Note that Lindsay, our aromatherapy expert from EarthWise Wellness, does not recommend Eucalyptus globulus and radiata essential oils for use on children under the age of 10 due to their 1,8 cineole content.
She also recommends that when choosing essential oils, it’s best to find a company that stores their oils in cool conditions and has a third party GC/MS chemistry report to ensure their purity. The label should indicate both the date of extraction as well as the shelf life. Oils found in food stores and pharmacies will often not fit this criteria. Purchasing from companies such as Aromatics International is a good way to ensure their quality.
